The annual Toys for Joy Community Outreach Event brought more than toys and joy to 8,000 children and their families Saturday, December 13.

Other numbers were huge too: 6,000 toys; 20,000 gifts for teens; 8 pallets of hygiene products; 100,000 articles of clothing; 1,000 pounds of donated chicken. Approximately 1,110 volunteers manned the toy room; did crowd control; performed and entertained; or served in the food court, and the the Kid Zone, which had three air jumps, a toy table, and a clown zone.
