Over the past few weeks we have been promoting the Kingdom Foundations conference by Global Awakening. To say that this has sparked a bit of controversy would be an understatement. As with any controversy there are voices on both sides, and much of the negative feedback we have received is about Randy Clark and Global Awakenings.
After prayerful consideration of all the feedback we have received we would like to reaffirm our beliefs as a church. We uphold the full Biblical view of the Holy Trinity and the role of the Holy Spirit as an essential part of the eternal Godhead. We hold fast to the promise of Christ, as recorded in Acts 1:8, that we will receive power, via the Holy Spirit, to be Christ's witnesses in the world.
It is not miracles themselves we are after, but an experience that is consistent with the promises of Christ in Scripture. Simply put: we are not chasing miracles, signs, or wonders; we are seeking Christ and to experience life in Him to the fullest.
1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 says: "Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil."
In fairness and with an open mind do not judge us, Randy Clark, or his ministry prematurely based on what others say. Rather, join us in seeking to learn as much as we can about what the Bible says about the Holy Spirit and test what you experience against scripture.
We are not seeking to align ourselves with any historical movement or denomination; but rather we are seeking to understand all we can about how to live to all that Christ has planned for us.
We invite you along with us on this journey.
